The Osram POWERSTAR HQI-T are high intensity discharge bulbs composed of quartz burner. With a UV filter they reduce discoloration risks. These lamps function on ballast and need imperatively to function horizontally. The Osram Powerstar HQI-T 2000/D/I E40 have a E40-type holder that will allow ther easy uninstallation within your fixtures. They have a lifetime of 9000 hours which is a lot more important than classic lamps. Lamps will provide a white cold colour temperature of 5200K. The colour-rendering index is by the way excellent, superior to 90Ra.
Use
Mainly used for outdoor lighting, these bulbs can also be used for indoor lighting. These lamps can be placed in factories, industrial areas, train or metro stations. They are also suitable for lighting airports, wharves, seaports, etc.
